TEA Fair our first virtual online careers event 8th-12th February 2021
TEA Fair 2021 goes virtual
This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to look at an alternative way of bringing our annual Training, Employment and Apprenticeship (TEA) Fair to the students across the trust. The TEA Fair is a chance for all of our students to engage with employers, to widen their knowledge of apprenticeship opportunities and to apply for live vacancies.
The event was planned to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week 2021, which is a chance to shine the light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the country.
Holding a virtual event enabled us to showcase employers and opportunities across a whole week rather than for just one day, which meant that students and their parents from Year 10 to Year 13 could access it at a time to suit them. We were delighted to showcase over 30 exhibitors, along with a wide range of live and pre-recorded talks with companies and Universities such as Aegeas, BAE Systems, EY, Unilever, The University of Law, The University of Hertfordshire, The University of Winchester and UCAS.
During the course of the week, we had over 8,772 visits to the site which is phenomenal, and moving forward we will definitely be looking to offer a mixture of live events with a virtual online offering.
We would like to thank all of the exhibitors for their support and engagement with the event. See you all next year!
